Critical Care We hope you never need critical care services, but if you do, we're ready. In the last few years, we have expanded and updated all of our critical care area, beginning with the emergency department, our two intensive care units, and the Huguley Heart Center. In a critical situation, every minute matters. So know the hospital that's closest to your home can care for you.
Emergency Department - 23 private rooms and two trauma rooms
- Divided into a serious and minor emergency complex
- Portable computers used for bedside registration
| Huguley Heart Center - 2 surgical suites specifically designed for open-heart surgery
- All services are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week
- Diagnostics including EKG, echocardiograms, stress tests, nuclear cardiology and specialized labs
- Cardiac catheterization and angioplasty
- Cardiac surgery, including open-heart, valve repair and replacement, coronary bypass
- Cardiac rehab
Intensive Care Units - 16-bed intensive care unit for patients with medical and respiratory needs (MICU)
- 12-bed intensive care unit concentrating on cardiovascular patients (CVICU)
- 4-bed dialysis center
- Intensively trained critical care nurses
- Family-friendly visiting policy
